Ms. Alexander owned the Chinese Gourmet Cooking School in on Clement St. in San Francisco, and her collection of recipes skew Chinese-American as well as strictly Chinese, like Chinese beef jerky, steamed taro and pork with red beancake sauce, barbecued Chinese sausage, deep-fried prawns, etc. A very good copy.
